Jahangirnagar University Science Club (JUSC) has selected its 39-member new executive committee for the 2019-20 session with Shariful Islam Sharif of Biotechnology and Genetics Engineering department and Golam Rabbani of Chemistry department as president and general secretary respectively.

The former president of JUSC Saniul Islam Sayeed announced this newly selected committee at the annual general meeting held at a restaurant in Savar on February 28 night.

  

The other office bearers are: Organizing Secretary Tarek Aziz, Treasurer Mustafizur Rahman Sonnet, Office Secretary Nafiur Rahman, Publications Secretary Ashiqul Islam Shihab, Library Secretary Waduda Akter Tamanna, Circulation Secretary Jakirul Islam, Literature Secretary Motiur Rahman Munna, Education Secretary Ariful Islam, IT Secretary Shawon Mahmud, Research Secretary Anaratul Zannah Sobhani, Social Welfare Secretary Shamsuzzaman Sayem, Assignment Secretary Nur Hossain, Media Secretary Mehedi Hasan Roman, and Admission Secretary Sal Sabila Zerin. Besides, 9 assistant secretary in different posts and 14 executive members were also announced.

Earlier, a 4-member selection committee was formed for making the committee by the former JUSC presidents.

Chief advisor of JUSC Professor Md Khabir Uddin of Environmental Sciences department, Professor Kabirul Bashar of Zoology department, Assistant Professor Fokhrul Islam of Pharmacy department, Assistant professor Dr Sharif Ahmed of Biotechnology and Genetics Engineering department, Assistant Professor Tajuddin Sikder of Public Health and Informatics department were present at the programme while JUSC president Khondoker Oliullah Sa’ad was in chair.
